Since our inception in July 2018, we have supported over 61,000 farmers across Uganda through a robust network that includes 15 outlets in 7 districts, 190+ commercial agents, and our innovative USSD platform *284*173#, which enables farmers to easily access climate-smart inputs, free extension services, and markets for their produce.

Job Purpose
To provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation of staff, goods, and other materials for Omia Agribusiness while ensuring proper maintenance and management of the company vehicle(s) in line with company policy.

Key Responsibilities
• Safely drive staff and goods to assigned destinations as directed.
• Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition at all times.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or accidents promptly.
• Maintain a vehicle logbook with accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, destinations, and service schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and internal transport guidelines.
• Assist with loading and offloading of agricultural inputs and other goods as required.
• Support field logistics and deliveries, especially in rural or hard-to-reach areas.
• Monitor service and insurance schedules and notify the supervisor in time for renewals or maintenance.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling organizational property or sensitive information.

Qualifications and Experience
• Valid Ugandan driving permit (Class B, CM, DL or above).
• At least 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably with NGOs, agribusinesses, or logistics companies.
• Defensive driving certification is an added advantage.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
• Fluent in English and local languages used in West Nile.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently, including upcountry and cross-border trips if necessary.
