The Opportunity

We are inviting applications from recent graduates to join Omia Agribusiness as Extension Volunteers (Graduate Trainees) across Arua, Koboko, Yumbe, Adjumani, and Kiryandongo.

This is a hands-on learning opportunity for individuals passionate about agriculture and eager to gain practical field experience working directly with farmers and communities.

What You Will Do

  • Support the mobilization and engagement of farmer groups
  • Assist in delivering extension services and farmer trainings
  • Participate in field demonstrations and learning activities
  • Collect and report field data using digital tools
  • Support farmer linkage to inputs and markets
  • Represent Omia Agribusiness at the community level

Who Should Apply?

  • Recent graduates (Certificate in Agriculture, Agribusiness, crop production, horticulture or related field)
  • Strong interest in working with farmers and rural communities
  • Willingness to be field-based in assigned districts
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic digital literacy (smartphone use, data collection tools)
  • Ability to speak one or more of the following local languages is an added advantage:
    Lugbara, Aringa, Kakwa, Luo, or Madi
